TERMS & CONDITIONS

PAYMENT

Students must pay a non-returnable £60.00 / €100 / US$117 Course Booking Deposit to secure a place on the course at least 8 weeks in advance of the start date. Course places will be guaranteed upon payment of the deposit.

The deposit is part of the fees and the remaining balance must be paid at least 4 weeks in advance of the start date.

STUDENT CANCELLATION
All cancellations must be made in writing to Totnes European School.

If more than 8 weeks notice of cancellation is given, a full refund is made less £60 deposit to cover cancellation procedures and charges.

If between 4 to 8 weeks notice of cancellation is given, a charge of 20% of the programme price is made plus £60.00 deposit to cover cancellation procedures and charges.

If less that 4 weeks notice of cancellation is given, no refund can be made.

SCHOOL CANCELLATION
S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. will use their best endeavours to provide the services contracted for.

In the event that any of the services cannot be provided for reasons beyond S.E.L.S.A.C.S.’ control, then either an alternative will be provided or a full refund made, at S.E.L.S.A.C.S.’ sole discretion.

PRICES
When a quoted price is itemised, this is for budgetary purposes only and does not constitute a condition of the contract.

Where the contract is a fixed price contract, the amount invoiced will be the total amount contracted for, without itemisation.

Where the contract is a variable price contract, the amount invoiced will be on the basis agreed, and copies of relevant invoices and supporting documentation will be made available on request.

WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS
Work Experience placements are conditional upon the participant having an adequate capability in the English Language. S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. can take no responsibility for the unsuitability of such a placement if the participant does not have a satisfactory capability in the English language.

COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
Any complaints must be brought to S.E.L.S.A.C.S.’ attention, in writing, during the period of the programme. S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. cannot give consideration to complaints brought to their notice after the completion of the programme.

If a complaint between a student and S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. cannot be resolved, then the student may take the complaint to the Ombudsman of the Worldwide Alliance of Small English Language Schools (W.A.S.E.L.S.) of which S.E.L.S.A.C.S Ltd. is a member.

INSURANCE
S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. does not accept liability for personal injury of any participant, howsoever caused. S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. does not accept liability for the loss or damage of any property belonging to or travelling with any participant. S.E.L.S.A.C.S. Ltd. does not accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses owing to delays or alterations in travel services, weather, sickness, strikes or any other causes.

S.E.L.S.A.C.S.’ liability is limited to the contract amount. No third party or consequential liabilities are accepted.

CONTRACT LAW
This contract is made under English law.
