HOTEL UNPAID WORK EXPERIENCE
The Hotel Work experience placement has two key objectives:
- to gain experience in the hotel industry
- to develop your skills in a professional working environment
You need to provide us with a Curriculum Vitae/ letter of application in English and must have at least pre-intermediate (A2)* level of English to start. We recommend you undertake an English language course before this programme, minimum of 1 week, depending on your level.
The hotel work experience programme includes waiting, bar and housekeeping work. We cannot find reception or management work.
You should be prepared to be flexible and will work shifts normally 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, this will include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. You will be required to work up to 40 hours per week.
All of our hotels are situated in the South-West of England.
During your placement you will be provided with accommodation and all meals in basic hotel staff accommodation.
During the Work Experience Placement you will be monitored by the school and you will also complete a Portfolio signed by your supervisor.
You can now complete at an additional cost, the University of Cambridge Work Experience Certificate.
