Work Providers

Totnes European School works closely with host partners and agents abroad who send us students who wish to carry out work experience placements in the UK, normally on an unpaid basis.

We are always looking to link up with new work experience providers in a wide variety of vocational areas.

We organise placements for a wide range of students, from the minimum age of 17, in a range of professions, according to the qualifications of the student.

We require that students have at least a pre-intermediate level of English – sometimes higher, depending on the type of work experience they require, and our aim is to match the student's criteria to the company’s requirements from the student's Curriculum Vitae and other information given.

Placements can vary from 2 weeks to 1 year, depending on the students' request. We also find host family accommodation near the placement location and there is no fee involved to us.

Once a student has been placed within a firm, we monitor the students by telephone conversations/ e-mails. Should the student or the company find that the placement does not meet expectations, Totnes European School will endeavour to locate a new placement for the student.
